Ready... Set... Take the Money and Run!

Join us on October 10th for the 1st Annual Take the Money and Run 5K or 1-Mile Fun Walk in historic Pilot Point, Texas! This exciting inaugural event celebrates the time Hollywood came to town to film scenes from the classic Bonnie and Clyde, featuring our iconic Farmers & Merchants Bank.

Whether you're chasing a personal record, competing for cash prizes, or enjoying a morning walk with family and friends, this event offers a memorable way to experience Pilot Point while supporting a great cause.

 5K Cash Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place finishers in each of the following divisions:

• Men's Open (18 & Older)
• Women's Open (18 & Older)
• Juniors (17 & Under)

 Every Finisher Wins!

All participants who complete either the 5K Run or 1-Mile Fun Walk will receive a unique inaugural finisher's medal and shirt commemorating their participation in the inaugural event.

 Walk for a Cause

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month -- registration proceeds from the 1-Mile Fun Walk will benefit Denton County Friends of the Family, the sole nonprofit organization in Denton County providing comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence and their families. Every step taken helps provide safety, hope, and healing to families throughout our community.

Race Day Schedule

• 6:30 AM – Race Day Check-In Opens
• 8:00 AM – 5K Run Begins (staggered start groups)
• Immediately Following – 1-Mile Fun Walk Begins

Packet Pickup (Required)

All participants must pick up their race packet before race day. Race packets WILL NOT be distributed on race morning.

Please Note: Race-day packet pickup and walk-up registrations WILL NOT be available.

Event Information

• Choose between the 5K Run or 1-Mile Fun Walk.
• Participants have one hour to complete their event.
• Strollers are permitted in the 1-Mile Fun Walk only.
• Dogs are not permitted on either course.
• Registration is $40 per participant.
